Just got back from South Street not too long ago and the report is incredibly simple: There's really nothing to report. Its quiet. Really quiet. Nothing happened, just your usual Saturday Night on South Street crowd, some extra people expecting something that never happened, and a ton of cops.

About two weeks ago, I discussed in length and in great detail the Crime Emergency Plan, what I felt was wrong with it, how the Ramsey's could impact it, and what could be done instead.How Ramsey will carry out the emergency response is less certain. He spent much of last week getting his bearings in his new city - meeting with Johnson and the department's command staff as well as attending several district roll calls to introduce himself to the rank and file.
Again, we're left scratching our heads on how, exactly, this will happen. Despite how "peaceful" where you live is, it could still be declared "dangerous". What if your in an area and don't know it's under lock down, are you still in trouble for being out there late?
