Now You're Playing With POWER!

I did this piece for an upcoming art show called "8-Bit and Beyond", which is being held by The Autumn Society of Philadelphia, a group of illustrators from Philly and the surrounding areas. It was really humbling to get to do something for it, and I was really psyched to get it done! My friend posed for this and, well, it was a ton of fun! Mixing illustration with pop-art techniques and elements of 80's graphic design... good times!

Special thanks to everyone who supported me in this, and I can't believe what I went through to get it done! From taking risks by just doing the sketching and seeing what happened, inking it a lot more loosely than I normally do instead of being incredibly rigid, the adventures of going to Center City to get a reduced copy only to realize I left the original on the copier and being forced to get it back, to coloring it.... Just so much fun!

This one was pretty fun! I did this for the upcoming 8-Bit & Beyond art show. In case you don't know who he is, it's Conker from Conker's Bad Fur Day, a video game for the Nintendo 64 that has a very large cult following for being a very fun and especially raunchy game for the system.

This piece was a lot of fun to do and I did it pretty damn fast! I tried a few different things and I like the effects I used on it.

EDIT: Sadly, this piece will NOT be in the show. Sorry about that. But hey, check it out, anyway!

8-Bit And Beyond! - Art Show Coming Up Worth Checking Out!

The Autumn Society will have their monthly art show at Brave New World comics at 45 N. 2nd Street August 7th from 6 - 10PM on First Friday. Be sure to come out and see the great work, and even buy some to take home with you!

There's already a lot of great art coming in, and I'm intimidated to even post, let alone bring in, the piece I've been working on! The caliber of the art and artists is incredibly high, and its an honor to get the chance to work with them.
